A lot of people don't believe there is such a thing as hell. Even some Christians. Such a harsh, final concept. Hell. Burning for all eternity. Forever. A loving God just wouldn't, couldn't, send anyone to such a horrible place! Nope, simply won't believe it. Not if God is REALLY a loving God... In America we say, "there are only two things that are certain in life . . . death and taxes." But we here at SpiritFire Design disagree with that. Death and taxes, yes. But there is a third thing that is certain. One day, whether male or female, nice or nasty, rich or poor, light skinned or dark, intelligent or not, EVERYONE will bow before the Lord Jesus Christ and give an account of their life. Are You Ready???
It isn't about fear of hell (for those who don't believe in hell, there is no fear anyway.) It's about life here on earth. Life abundant and full of hope. Life in right standing with an almighty God who chose to reconcile himself to sinful, self-absorbed humans through the shedding of His only begotten Son's blood on the cross. Some people say, "Ewwww, icky. What's up with all that BLOOD stuff anyway? Christians are just so weird !!" We'd have to agree with that particular statement. We are a peculiar people, and we're called to be different. We're told to count suffering and persecution as joy. We talk and pray to an unseen force that we feel deep in our hearts. We hear voices and talk to spirits. We see that unseen force as a force with human emotions such as love and anger and righteousness. We look for that unseen force in the face of all humanity. We call the force "God" and seek to tell others of His great love for us. We acknowledge that He is so far above humans that all we have left to do is worship Him and obey His voice in our heads and hearts. The voice that we can all hear if we but listen. We count obedience as freedom and loss as gain. We try to serve others rather than serve ourselves. We give money to perfect strangers. We love and embrace murderers and drug addicts and prostitutes and angry, hurting inner-city kids and the homeless and the poor and those who hate and mock us. Definitely weird. But it makes perfect sense when you look at human beings. All over the world, they have this strong desire to worship things. Here in America, it's often material things and humans and their achievements (especially rich, beautiful and successful humans.) Sometimes it's aliens or -- to state that particular (you wanna talk peculiar!) belief system more accurately -- the concept that there is "somewhere better than this rotten planet and much more intelligent creatures out there." What floors us is that in all accounts we've ever heard of aliens, they kidnap and torture humans. Heck, we can get that kind of treatment right here on earth! In other countries (and increasingly in America) it may be the worship of nature i.e. "Mother Earth," or worship of the sun, the stars, white cows, red cows, cow cows, ancestors, statues, sacred places, a religious leader or institution, traditions, or whatever. So our point is that people all over the earth want, indeed need, to worship something. Anything. It's built into our human natures, deep in our very DNA. God did it. He made us this way. It's all His fault that we yearn to know Him. Acts 17:24-28 - "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. We are his offspring." Logic offers no other choice than to believe this scripture. Evolution doesn't cut it. No proof. Theories, made-up fossils and rebellion are the basis of that belief system. (We've researched it extensively for years and years and so we can state as a fact that evolution is false. We'll be more than happy to argue that point via email with you if you'd like.) Even evolutionists now believe that all people came from one original couple (out of Africa) so even their own research keeps taking them to the brick wall of the fact of God, and His creation this world and that old Bible story about Adam and Eve.
Funny, evolutionists will be the first ones to point out how illogical it is that ALL people, in all their beautiful skin tones, could have possibly come from one couple when you're talking the Bible. But they seem to conveniently forget that fact when embracing that same concept about how we've all evolved from some primordial couple somewhere in Africa! But hey, you can't blame 'em! Evolution offers the only hope of an alternative to God, and many, many people don't like the concept of submitting to a holy God that won't let them do exactly whatever it is that pleases them. So they ignore him and hold onto their religion of evolution. Big mistake. There is somewhere better out there other than earth. It's called heaven. And there are more intelligent creatures out there but they aren't aliens. They're angels and members of the host of heaven. There is a spirit that controls this planet but it ain't Mother Earth -- or any spirits that are called up from the dead or supposedly channel through people -- it's the Holy Spirit! There are answers to be found to all your questions about life but they can't be found in your daily horoscope, by seeing a psychic, or getting your tarot cards read. The answers are found in God's love letter to us all, the Holy Bible. Yes, there is that weird Christian thing with the blood but it isn't icky. There is a holy, loving God out there who is in complete control of this planet and He wants to have a love affair with you for all eternity. He became a frail human in order to give us His divine strength, power and unending, unchanging love. He has a perfect plan for our lives and He's successfully faced absolutely every problem, temptation, pain and joy that we have. He shed his blood so that we didn't have to die in our sins. There's life in His blood. His name is Jesus Christ. If you haven't done so already, you need to give your heart to Him.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Words by Jesus Christ -- as quoted in the Bible, the Book of John, Verse 14:6 John 15:1-17 - "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the words I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches." "If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit --- fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other." There are many more scriptures that we could quote to tell you of Christ's love but this page is long enough. Here's the deal: If you haven't accepted Jesus, you need to. Now. Call a local church. Call the 700 Club hotline on TV. Send us an email and we'll be more than happy to help you walk into the kingdom. We'll even pay for long-distance phone charges if you want to talk. Just do it! You've heard all the arguments before but if you've reached this point on this page, you know deep down in that empty place in your inner heart that it's God telling you it's time to lay down all your arguments and let Jesus into your heart. Just say these words out loud to Him right now: Lord Jesus, I've ignored and sometimes even mocked the idea of you throughout my life. I am sorry and I ask your forgiveness for this sin, and for all my sins. I believe you are the son of God and I believe you died on the cross to save my eternal soul. Dear Jesus, come into my heart right now and be my Lord and Savior. Set my heart free, and then set it on fire with your love, and a desire to serve you. I want to walk with you the rest of my time on earth and throughout all eternity. Thank you for loving me, for forgiving me, and for shedding your blood for me. Thank you for the willing sacrifice you made of YOUR life in order to save MY life, to save my soul from hell, and to give me abundant life here on earth and forever in eternity. I praise your name.
