Jesus Christ, King of Kings
and Lord of Lords
At Spirit Fire Design, we are very
open about, and up
front with, all our clients about our relationship with Jesus Christ. We make no attempt to be neutral, 'politically
correct' or hide our light but instead talk freely about our faith (AND the
principles of faith that drive the character and practices of our business.)
So we want to describe just a bit of what we believe about our Lord and Savior. (Hold
your mouse over the scriptures to read them in a pop-up window, a cool free feature that we've
found to enhance Christian websites.)
We believe that
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the only way to the Father. - "For God so
loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that we might not perish
but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
and
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14:6)
We believe in His sinless life, death
on the cross as an atonement for our sins, his mission to restore man's broken relationship with God the Father and in
His bodily resurrection.
"He committed no sin
and no deceit was found in His mouth." (1 Peter 2:22) John 1:29 says, "The
next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Look, the Lamb of God, who
takes away the sin of the world!'" and in Mark 1:9-11 we
find: "At
that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the
Jordan. As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn
open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. And a voice came from
heaven: 'You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.'"
"But God demonstrates His own love
for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved
from God's wrath through Him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were
reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been
reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but
we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now
received reconciliation." (Romans 5:8-11)
"But Christ has
indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have died." (1 Corinthians 15:20)
and in Acts 1:3 we read: "After His suffering death, He showed himself to these
men and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them
over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God."
We believe in the redeeming, guiding,
comforting, teaching and rebuking ministry and power of the Holy Spirit. -
"When the
Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth,
who goes out from the Father, He will testify about me." (John 15:26)
Also view John 16:7-15, John 14:26.
Here "God-breathed" refers to the
Holy Spirit's role in imparting the word of God to us.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, that the man of
God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy
of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never
had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried
along by the Holy Spirit."
(2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that a personal
relationship with Him -- making Jesus your Savior AND Lord, as well as
submitting to Him -- is the foundation of our lives as Christians. We
believe that 'claiming' Christ is not enough, that you must do what He says,
live as He says to live, love as He says to love and walk in obedience to God as
He walked. We are to DO what the Bible says, not just HEAR it and not
apply it in our own lives.
"His divine power has given us everything we
need...for this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith:
goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness
and love. If you do these things, you will never fail and will receive a
rich welcome in the kingdom of Jesus Christ."
(2 Peter 1:3-11)
James 1:22-25 also makes the
concept of DOING not just TALKING clear:
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive
yourselves. DO what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does
not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after
looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like."
At Spirit Fire Design, we ascribe to
these principles and seek to develop Christian business relationships that
glorify God and build one another up! If you want to know why billions
claim Him,
